Tombstone Inscription:
This languishing head is at rest,
His thinking and aching are o'er,
This quiet immovable breast
is heaved by affliction no more,
The lids he so seldom could close
by sorrow forbidden to sleep,
Seal'd up in the eternal repose
have strangely forgotten to weep

Twin to Carroll
Harold passed away peacefully in his sleep at the residence of his nephew John Damon III and wife Dorothy, with whom he had lived for the past 13 years. He loved to watch the birds and the family dogs, and he enjoyed gardening and working on firewood. He especially enjoyed his great-great-nieces and nephew, Brooke, Olivia and Gavin. His sense of humor and ready smile will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Damon was predeceased by his father, John Damon; his mother, Myrtie (Buck) Damon; two brothers, John Damon Jr. on April 10, 2006 and Carroll Damon and his sister, Alice. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorials in his memory are requested to the Buckfield Recreation Department, Buckfield, ME 04220. Arrangements by Andrews Funeral Home, High Street, Buckfield.
