- Abigail was the descendent of Lt. Isaac Buck, The famous Indian fighter, who undoubtedly saved the settlement, when the Indians attacked the Fortified Stockbridge Mill, in March 1676. Lt. Buck was, also, for many years the town clerk of Scituate, and otherwise engaged in public affairs.
