  Daniel Blose served as a soldier in the Revolutionary war, 5th Company, Private 3 rd Class, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania Archives, Vol 3, Series 6th: page 755. Colonial records indicate he had a grist mill, 50 acres of land, 1 horse and 1 cow. He moved to Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania in 1780. In 1785, he owned 176 acres of land in Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania as of June 20,1809.
