He was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church,Lehighton.
He was an Army veteran of World War 11,having served with 86th Signal Company in the European and Pacific theaters.He was a member of Lehighton Masonic Lodge 612 and the Lehigh Consistory,Valley of Allentown.
Survivors;Wife,son Timothy P of Reisterstown,Md.daughter,Ivy Lynn of Aurora,Colo. brother Raymond of Lehighton,and a sister Marjorie Pouse of Reading,nieces and nephews.

Pennsylvania Political, Governmental, Military and Civil Biographical Volume 2 - "Captain John Gorham, son of John Gorham of Marshfield, Massachusetts, was born probably in Huntingdonshire, England, about 1622, and was buried at Swansea, Massachusetts, February 5, 1675-76. His approximate birthdate is fixed by a deposition: "John Gorun seni(or): aged 53 years of therabouts Testifyeth...Dated this 4th: 16(74-75)."
He was problably the John Gorum who stood propounded to the Plymouth Court, June 7, 1648, to take up his freedom and who on June 4, 1650, was admitted a freeman.
A deed dated at New Plymouth, March 8, 1648-49, from Mr. William Bradford, Governor, to Mr. John Howland, of Plymouth conveyed "land lying within the limits of Marshfield Commonly called the great yland with all the marsh meadow lyeing before the sd yland . . . thirteen acars . . ." "And I the said john howland seni . . . for . . . the sum of twenty-five pound sterling haue . . . Sould vnto my soninlaw John Gorum the one halfe of the aforsaid yland and marsh meadow . . . "
Captain John Gorham married, in 1643, Desire Howland. Children (first born in Plymouth, next four in Marshfield, next one in Yormouth, last five in Barnstable, Massachusetts): I.
