  April 20, 2014 Donald Douglas Drown February 11, 1929 - April 7, 2014 Press-Republican ELLENBURG DEPOT - Donald Douglas Drown, 85, of Ellenburg Depot, died in Plattsburgh on April 7, 2014. He was born in Ellenburg Depot on Feb. 11, 1929, the son of Clifford and Minnie (White) Drown. Donald was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, John Drown (Mercedes Loughan, Barbara Chase), and Calvin Drown (Marion DeLong); and three sisters, Margaret Drown LaPorte (Wesley LaPorte), Aileen Drown Lamay (John Kayea, Roy Lamay), and Bernice Drown Gibson (Joseph Gibson). Donald is survived by his wife Leah Van Arman Drown, whom he married on July 1, 1954 in West Chazy; his son Kevin Drown and daughter-in-law Janet Ryan Drown and their two daughters, Kristie Drown and Jolie Drown Sargeant (Gary Sargeant); and three grandchildren, Eli, Maribel, and Jameson Sargeant. He is also survived by his son, James Drown and daughter-in-law Monica Sanders Drown and their three children, Alix Drown, Connor Drown, and Jared Drown. Services will be held privately. Burial will be in Sheldon Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Chateaugay Funeral Home.
